How do I look up a chip number?

Apply through our partner portal on the For Vets & Stores page. Once you're approved, you get a partner dashboard where you can register chips in bulk and see your full registration history. It's built for shops, clinics, breeders, and rescues that chip pets regularly and want to handle registration on the spot.

I found a pet what do I do?

First, if you can, get the pet scanned at a nearby vet, shelter, or animal control to read the chip number most will do this free. Then enter that number on our lookup page. If the pet is registered with PChipped, we'll help connect you with the owner. Once our Found Pet reporting tool is live, you'll also be able to file a found report with a photo so we can match it against pets reported lost. In the meantime, you can reach us at (866) 318-0173.

Can I see the pet owner's contact details?

PChipped protects registered owner information. A public lookup helps confirm whether a pet is registered and guides you to the right next step. If the pet is registered with PChipped, our team can help with the reunification process.

What if the microchip is not registered with PChipped?

Check that the full number was entered correctly. If the chip is not found, the pet may be registered with another registry. You can still submit a found-pet report and ask a vet, shelter, or animal control office for help.

What if I do not know the microchip number?

A vet, shelter, or animal control office can scan the pet to find the microchip number. Once you have it, return to this page and use the pet microchip lookup form.
